Frequently Asked Question

  • It means the clinic comes to you. Instead of traveling to an office and sitting in a waiting room, your primary care visits take place in the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. I bring the necessary medical equipment to provide high-quality clinical care at your kitchen table or in your living room. I can perform testing for common viral and bacterial infections as well as STDs on-site. I can then send prescriptions, orders for imaging or specialty care from your home.

Is this a mobile van or a medical bus?

No. I do not use a medical vehicle. I travel in a standard vehicle and perform all clinical services inside your home. This ensures a more private, comfortable, and personalized experience.

    What area do you serve?

I currently serve patients in Polk, Marion, Linn and Yamhill Counties.

  • How does the Membership (Retainer) plan work?

For a flat monthly fee, you become a member of the practice. This fee covers almost all of your primary care needs, including annual physicals, acute "sick" visits, chronic disease management, and direct text/phone/telemedicine access to me. There are no co-pays and no insurance billing for these services.

If I have a membership, do I still need insurance?

Yes. My membership is not health insurance. You still need insurance to cover major events that happen outside of my care, such as hospitalizations, emergency room visits, surgeries, and specialist consultations (like cardiology or oncology).

Does my membership fee count toward my insurance deductible?

Yes, in many cases. Under a new Oregon law (HB 2540) effective in 2026, most insurers are now required to count your membership fees toward your annual out-of-pocket deductible. We can provide you with the documentation needed to submit this to your insurance carrier.

  • What if I just want to use my insurance and not pay a monthly fee?

That is perfectly fine! I offer a Traditional Insurance Panel. If you choose this path, you do not pay a monthly membership fee. I will bill your insurance (click here for accepted insurance plans) for each visit. You will be responsible for any co-pays or deductibles required by your specific plan.

Can I switch from the Insurance Panel to the Membership Panel later?

Yes. If you find that you are seeing me frequently and want the added benefits of fixed pricing, you can switch to the Membership Panel at the start of any new month.

  • How do I get blood work or X-rays?

I offer on-site lab draw services. However, if you prefer, I can also send the orders just like a traditional practitioner. If you choose, I can electronically send your orders to any lab (like Quest or Labcorp, Salem Health) or imaging center. Those facilities will bill your insurance directly for those services.

What happens if I need a specialist?

I will coordinate your referral to the appropriate specialist. Because I have a smaller patient panel, I have more time to consult with your specialist and ensure your care is streamlined. The specialist will bill your insurance for their services.

  • Is it safe to have medical visits at home?

Yes. I follow strict clinical and sanitation protocols. I always invite and encourage a spouse, family member or friend to be a support to you as you feel comfortable.

How is my medical information kept private?

I use a HIPAA-compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. All your data is encrypted and secure. While I am in your home, I simply ask that you choose a space where you feel comfortable discussing your private medical history.

  • What if I want to cancel my membership?

You can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. If you have prepaid for the month, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the remaining days within 30 days of your cancellation. We believe in transparency and fairness in all our billing.

  • How do I sign up?

You can click on the “schedule” button below to schedule your consultation visit. We start with a brief "Meet and Greet" (virtual or in-person) to make sure my practice is the right fit for your health goals.
