    Using your HSA

As of January 1, 2026, Oregon is one of the most progressive states for Direct Primary Care patients.

Thanks to the passage of House Bill 2540 (HB 2540), Oregon has officially removed one of the biggest financial hurdles for DPC members: your membership fees can now count toward your insurance deductible.

Under this law, most Oregon health insurance companies are required to credit the money you pay for DPC toward your annual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum.

  • Upside: One monthly price covers my primary care services. No co-pays, no surprise bills in the mail three months later. And for those additional services I provide, you know exactly what the cost is prior to choosing. Most importantly, you receive professional, compassionate care from the comfort and safety of your home.

Downside: This doesn't replace your insurance for emergency care, major surgery or hospital stays, but it covers 90% of what you'll ever need for your healthcare needs.

  • Simply put; The insurance company.

‍Using traditional insurance, I ‍have to bill your insurance for the services I provide you. I cannot charge you a retainer fee, then bill your insurance for my at home primary care services.

Not a problem though, because I can still be your primary care provider.

I am currently in the process of contracting with many insurance companies. Please check back frequently to see which insurance companies have been added.

If you wanted to start care now, you can pay me with cash, credit card, or use your health savings account, and I can provide you with a “super bill” that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement (check with your insurance company for their policy for “out-of-network” providers)

  • I’m currently in the process of contracting with major insurers.

Click here to see the insurance companies I am in the process of requesting contracts with. Check back often to see if your plan is contracted or contact me to be on the contact list when it does.

  • Upside: If I accept your insurance you can use the benefits you're already paying for. You get professional, compassionate care from the comfort and safety of your home.

Downside: Your final cost is determined by your insurance carrier. You may still have co-pays or a deductible to meet before your insurance pays for my visit.
